Being a native of Agra, I have seen the city change. There was a time when there were a limited number of cafes, but now things have changed. There has suddenly been a boost in the cafe culture in Agra, and mostly, I think people have changed—or to be more straightforward, the generation has changed.
Today, people are visiting cafes more than ever. People are more focused on enjoying aesthetics, food, and the overall experience.
Being a foodie myself, I have seen this huge change, and at some point, I love it because now you have multiple places to visit. When you keep visiting a new place, you feel good about things. You can visit a new cafe every weekend because moving out of station every week is not possible.
We can call it the “First Visit to the Café” series, and now this journey begins. Exploring cafés across the world is going to be one of the best journeys, and I’m really hoping it turns out to be exactly that.
But there are always two sides to a coin.
Now Agra is slowly converting into a cafe hub, and this might also be affecting businesses. There is an economic point to it as well. When you have nice cafes around, the local economy can also pick up because people are spending more within the city.
So, I decided to visit a cafe which was actually growing in front of my eyes.
I have seen every stage of this cafe from the start. I saw it when it was about to launch and, at some point, I even saw the initial work happening. But I never got the time to actually spend time here.
Today, I finally decided to visit the cafe and explore the nice interiors and the vibe inside the cafe.
London Coffee Club
We basically know that early cafe culture started in the 15th and 16th centuries in the Middle East and the Ottoman Empire, specifically in cities like Mecca, Cairo, and Istanbul, which was then known as Constantinople.
These early public coffeehouses, known as qahveh khaneh, became important social, political, and intellectual hubs where people gathered to converse, listen to music, and exchange news.
Slowly, this culture started spreading all over the world, and today we have these nice places to hang out and spend our weekends.
And this is where London Coffee Club comes in.
When it comes to the interior, it is not just about the aesthetics of the cafe. There are many more things than just the interior. You have to see the staff, how everything is prepared, the food, the service, and the overall experience.
This cafe has a nice vibe and is mostly inspired by European cafes.
The staff here is limited, but overall, everyone is very nice and easy to talk to. I felt comfortable from the moment I entered the cafe.
I talked to the manager about the cafe and then ordered my matcha.
And this was my first matcha in life.
I ordered the Mango Matcha, and for a very long time, I had been thinking about trying it.
I will say it was nice to experience matcha for the first time. There are not many cafes in Agra at this time serving matcha. Mostly, cafes are following the old trend of coffee and its variations.
London Coffee Club has that as well, but at the same time, they are going beyond that.
Matcha is getting viral in cities like Mumbai, Jaipur, and Chennai. People are trying matcha in these cities, and London Coffee Club is also serving it. They have two flavours of matcha, along with the regular stuff that you will find in other cafes.
Overall, the vibes are good, and it feels nice to spend time here.
The cafe also has a nice greenish theme, which goes well with the logo, along with the brown furniture.
When I visit places, I look for a few things in that place:
- How it looks.
- The staff of the cafe.
- The taste of the food and beverages and the cost of the food.
- How accessible the place is for people.
- How comfortable it is for couples.
If all these five things are good, then you can visit the cafe.
And when I visited London Coffee Club, I found that it has nice vibes. I spent hours of time inside the cafe.
When I first entered the cafe, there was a couple inside enjoying their moment. They were very comfortable with the cafe vibes and everything around them.
London Coffee Club: How it looks
The cafe looks amazing.
The interior work is nice and amazing. The seating is not too congested, and it is comfortable for everyone. There is a proper gap between the chairs and tables, and there is also proper and comfortable seating.
The furniture is comfortable for people who want to spend their entire day at the cafe.
There are people who spend their entire day at cafes for studying, working, or for other reasons, and this could be a good choice for them.
Overall, it is good and nice.
London Coffee Club: Staff of the cafe
The staff is nice and very easy to communicate with.
I think this is one of the most important factors for a cafe to be successful because nice staff can attract more customers than nice food.
When people come to visit a cafe, they prefer a nice experience.
In this world of rage and overwork, everyone is disturbed at some point. So, they want a nice place to spend some time, enjoy a few moments of peace, and eat something tasty that can calm their mind and body.
And good staff plays an important role in creating that experience.
London Coffee Club: Taste of the food and beverages and cost of the food
Mostly, everything is around ₹600 or under.
Pizzas and some other items are reaching a price of around ₹600, while the rest of the things start from ₹160 and go up to ₹600 depending on what you order.
I ordered a Mango Matcha. It cost me around ₹260, which will be more after taxes.
But the most important part is the taste.
If the things you are tasting are good, then for sure you can spend money on them.
London Coffee Club: How accessible is the place?
The location of the cafe is nice.
It is in a prime location when it comes to accessibility. It is near the Taj Mahal in Agra, behind TDI Mall.
Mostly, the cafes around this area and Mall Road are located around these places only, so the location is definitely one of the good things about London Coffee Club.
London Coffee Club: How comfortable is it for couples?
In my first experience, the place was very comfortable for couples.
As I mentioned, I saw a couple enjoying their moments, and no one was disturbing them. They were comfortable, and the overall environment was nice.
There is also nice background music playing in the cafe, which makes the environment even better.
For youngsters, this kind of place matters.
People mostly prefer a place which is nice and comfortable for them. The reason is that India still lacks a few things when it comes to having comfortable and open spaces for people.
So, when we see places which are comfortable, nice, and safe for couples, we feel good about it.
Final thoughts on London Coffee Club Agra
Overall, my experience at London Coffee Club was good. I liked the interiors, the vibe, the staff, the seating, and most importantly, I finally got to try matcha.
Agra is changing, and the cafe culture is one of the changes I have personally noticed. And honestly, as a foodie, I am happy about it.
Because now, instead of going out of station every weekend, I can simply explore a new cafe in my own city.
