Hey guys, recently I got a chance to visit Naivedyam Agra, a South Indian restaurant on Taj Mahal Road. This was the second time I have opted for a change when it comes to food places because I have some food places fixed when it comes to the taste of the food and variety.
I have a place where I have been going for years, and I still love the taste of the place.
Ambience-wise, that place is not that good, and even Naivedyam is okay-okay when it comes to ambience. But as it’s a restaurant and not a cafe, we are not comparing the ambience here. We will compare the food.
To be honest, I had heard quite a lot about Naivedyam through social media and all, so I just thought, let me give it a try. Only then will I be able to tell whether it’s worth a visit or not.
So, by chance, I got a chance to visit Naivedyam Agra because of one of my friend’s birthdays. I asked him, “Let’s go to Naivedyam and eat something.”
As usual, my favourite is Malabar Paratha, so I stuck to that because if you have been eating something for years, you can clearly tell the difference if something is missing from it.
So, I just opted for Malabar Paratha, and my friend ordered Veg Pulao. We both got Saram as a welcome drink, which was quite good in taste.
I will not say that I have not tasted something like that before, but it was okay to start with.
And you know, when I visit a place, I look for 5 things in that place; the same goes for Naivedyam, Agra Taj Mahal Road
- How it looks.
- The staff of the café / resturant.
- The taste of the food and beverages, along with the cost.
- How accessible the place is for people.
- How comfortable it is for couples.
Naivedyam Agra Taj Road | How it looks
I think it is quite a normal-looking place, maybe totally dedicated to eating. They have paintings on the walls and a decent interior. It is not top-notch or anything, but it is okay-okay when it comes to the ambience and looks, which I will say is okay because it’s a family restaurant, not a place to hang out for hours.
And one more thing, it is not quite an open kind of place. It is a totally packed place, so when it comes to packed places, I feel a little low-energy there. It is my personal experience that if a place is not open to fresh air, you don’t get good vibes there.
I feel the same for Naivedyam. The interior work is decent.

I will say the staff was good because all of them were properly dressed, and they were also communicating well with us. I didn’t get much time to talk to the staff members, but I will say they were well trained to handle customers.
Because the moment we reached Naivedyam, we just ordered and received our food in just under 15 minutes or less, maybe. So, we didn’t get much time to talk to the staff and ask anything.
We had a little conversation with the manager, or the person who is running the place, and he was nice to talk to.
The taste of the food and beverages, along with the cost.
The taste was quite average. I tried my all-time favourite, Malabar Paratha, and it is served along with Veg Korma and Raita at some places in Agra. So, I can tell this because I have been eating this for around 6 years now.
The Malabar quantity was great, which was more than the place I usually eat at, but when it comes to the quality, it was not that good. Even the Pulao my friend ordered was quite ordinary in taste.
And the price of both things was quite high, maybe due to the location. The location of Naivedyam is around the premium hotels, so you can say they have to keep the prices accordingly. Maybe they might be paying high rent and all.
But the food taste was ordinary, and after that, we didn’t order much from there. We decided to leave for another place and eat something that we actually like.
Their menu starts from 150+ and goes up to 350+, which is okay for a family restaurant because people usually eat within that range only.
The pricing is fine when it comes to the location and all, but the taste is decent, I will say. Maybe in the future, I will try some more dishes, and if the taste beats my taste buds, I will update this post accordingly.
Naivedyam Agra | How accessible the place is for people.
Basically, the place is on Taj Road, near the Taj Mahal, so I will not say it is normally accessible to people. Maybe they are targeting foreign customers; that’s why they have chosen that place. You can see Starbucks there as well.
So, they might not be targeting normal Agra people, or the place may seem quite hidden when it comes to the location. But it is on Taj Road and very much visible to those who are visiting the Taj Mahal.

How comfortable is it for couples?
So basically, if you want to spend hours with your partner, definitely not the place for you. But if you’re looking just to eat South Indian food, then for sure, it is a place you can visit.

Basically, overall, it is a nice, decent place. As I have been there only once, I can’t fully explain everything because your experience might be different from mine. So, maybe in the future, I will update this place.
If you have time, then you can surely give it a chance. If you have only one chance, I will say you can visit some other place. I hope you got the answer here.
