Desi Vibes Agra: My Honest Experience & Everything You Need to Know

Hey guys, recently I visited a family restaurant, Desi Vibes Agra, on Fatehabad Road. And this one is the 3rd place I am visiting in the PyFoodReviews series.

I first thought it was a cafe, not a restaurant, because I had thought of reviewing the cafes in this series. But to my surprise, it is a restaurant and also has a bar.

This was my first experience at this place. The reason is simple: this place opened last year, and I had thought of visiting it. And on Monday, I just visited the place out of the blue.

The place, at first glance, is very nice, and the interior work is totally awesome. I don’t know where they hired the person for the interior work, but Desi Vibes restaurant is a franchise here, based in Noida. Desi Vibes’ main chain is in Noida, and everything is linked to the Noida restaurant. Everything is controlled from there only.

As people are now more interested in clicking pictures, most places are designed in such a way that people should like the ambience more than they like the food.

Maybe it is because of the changing culture.

A few years back, we used to look for places that were known for their taste.

Now we look for places that have good vibes and an Instagrammable ambience, so that we can post nice pictures and get likes and shares on our Instagram page.

Things have changed, and people have different priorities.

At some point, I feel like if you have a simple place but magnificent food, it might not succeed in today’s world because most people want to share what they are doing with the world.

So, out of curiosity, I went to Desi Vibes, and I was totally impressed by the ambience of the place. And the design- you can watch that in my Instagram video.

After seeing the place with my own eyes, I just decided to see what they offer in terms of taste.

And you know, when I visit a place, I look for 5 things in that place; the same goes for the Desi Vibes family restaurant, Agra.

  • How it looks.
  • The staff of the café.
  • The taste of the food and beverages, along with the cost.
  • How accessible the place is for people.
  • How comfortable it is for couples.

Desi Vibes Family Restaurant, Agra | How It Looks

At first glance, the interior work is very nicely done. Even the roof has a rug design; different kinds of rugs are used in the roof design, and it looks nice.

The wall work is also nice, and the theme is more like a vintage royalty kind of theme. Hindi quotes like “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and “Ann Purna Brahma” are mentioned on the wall. Terracotta tiles are used as well in some parts.

Overall, it looks like a nice and clean place, and the colours make you feel comfortable. It is not like most places today, which are bland and follow a few colour themes.

Overall, the restaurant looks more like a royal place, and they serve food in golden utensils as well, like spoons and forks.

The Staff of Desi Vibes Family Restaurant, Agra

I had a conversation with the manager as well as with the person who was serving me. His name was Rajkumar. He was nice, and I asked him a few questions. He explained everything to me very nicely.

I ordered Derra Paratha, which I tasted for the first time in my life. Basically, it is a paratha with cheese and onion inside. When I asked the manager where this dish was from, he mentioned Kerala.

But overall, the staff was good towards me, and I can say that the experience of people may vary because we know sometimes people’s reactions change according to other people’s reactions.

As Desi Vibes Restaurant also serves drinks and wines and all, we can say that obviously there might be all kinds of customers they might be handling, so there are a lot of things you can experience there.

For me, the staff was very nice and answered all my queries, and the place was nice and clean too.

The Taste of the Food and Beverages, Along with the Cost at Desi Vibes Family Restaurant, Agra

I started with the welcome drink. It was a nice jeera drink. After that, I had two types of papad along with green chutney. The papad was nice in taste.

I ordered Derra Paratha, which came in 4 pieces, along with regular coffee. The Derra Paratha was served along with 8 pickles that they have: mango, sweet mango, chilli mango, lemon, mixed, and a few whose names I forgot.

The taste was normal, I can say. I felt good after eating it, and lastly, I ordered one Rasmalai, which was also nice, but I can say I have eaten better Rasmalais at different places.

Overall, I can say it is a nice place with a decent taste because I have tried only a few things. I also asked for the specials, but there was no such thing.

Also, one thing I noticed with the menu is that they have not separated the dishes or marked them with marks like a red dot or green dot for veg and non-veg dishes. Desi Vibes serves both veg and non-veg, as well as drinks.

I ordered three things, and it cost me around ₹600+ along with GST. So maybe a decent place for eating. The menu starts from ₹250+ and goes up to ₹21,00+, and the drinks menu goes up to around ₹10K depending on what you take.

I don’t drink, so I can’t say much about the drinks menu.

How Accessible the Place Is for People

I think it’s an on-road place. The place is on the highway, and when it comes to Agra, it is easily accessible, reachable, and visible.

Anyone with decent Google Maps or Apple Maps can easily reach the place.

The location of the place is nice, and they have a good parking area as well, which is good for both normal vehicles like scooters and cars. If you’re a truck driver, they also have space for you.

How Comfortable It Is for Couples

When it comes to couples, as I prioritise this very much, I saw one couple there as well. But this place is not for those who are looking to spend hours in one place having one coffee.

Because it’s a family restaurant, you can spend a few hours inside during the day, maybe from 12 noon to 5 PM, because they have a rush in the evening hours.

I would not suggest couples go and hang out at the place because it’s basically for eating and enjoying drinks.

If you want to eat decent food with all North Indian dishes covered and have drinks, then you can surely visit the place. Otherwise, I would suggest you visit a cafe for your cosy moments if you have such plans in your head.

Final Thoughts Along With the Cost at Desi Vibes Family Restaurant, Agra

desi vibes final

I will say the place is nice when it comes to looks and food. Expensive? I will not say that because they might be targeting a different segment of customers, and you can find North Indian dishes at lower prices as well.

But it’s all about the place and the vibe. The place has nice vibes when it comes to looks and all.

They have a beautiful place with decent food.

So overall, you can visit the place if you want to spend good moments and eat nice food.

All these thoughts are based on my personal experience as a customer, so I suggest you give it a visit.
