I have been thinking about writing something for a long time, so I’m thinking of starting it now.
This is Pushpender Yadav. I have been thinking about a lot of things lately because I have been doing a lot of things since 2018.
Ever since I completed college, I started working on my startup, SchoolOkay.
It was an accidental start because I was planning to start a blog about things I know, but I was unable to decide the field of my expertise: what I know best, what I am good at, because I really suck at writing and my grammar is too lame (because I have always skipped my grammar classes throughout my entire life).
This is half true. To be completely honest, I have skipped everything in my school as well as my college.
I never attended any of my classes because I always thought that the teachers who were teaching me were not intelligent enough. They hardly talked about making a life. They were always focused on rote memorization and scoring well and, after that, getting a job.
I was very confused about why I would be getting a job because my father was already doing a job, and there was still tough competition in society.
Even every student was competing with one another just to get higher scores, but I never I was never able to convince myself to score well because I was more interested in learning than scoring, so I hardly scored well.
Therefore, I ended up being an average student who used to score 65% to 90%, or sometimes somewhere within these scores.
Everything was good. Life was looking like heaven, and I always thought things were going to be the same for me. I was unaware of a lot of things.
Not just that, I was very ignorant too because I never listened to people who were facing difficulties in their lives, who were sad and not able to find meaning in their lives. I was too busy enjoying things that were falling my way. I used to consider myself the happiest person alive, only doing some things:
– playing soccer
– studying
– reading
– getting scolded by my mom routinely.
All of this was fun until I completed my 10th class, and now I had to choose a side, like science, commerce, arts, etc.
This was not the toughest decision to make, but the problem was that this decision is not going to separate you from the people, my friends, with whom you have spent your last years of classes 6 to 10.
I always had the same friends, to be honest with all of you. I’m not very good at making friends, but I am very good at maintaining friendships because I never betray people/friends and am always there when they need me.
I am kind of soulful when it comes to friendship. That’s the reason I don’t have many friends. Those I have are the best ones. I guess they are always going to be on my side whenever I need them.
The entire concept of switching a subject and choosing a stream is kind of lame to me, which I will explain in my upcoming chapters. Also, there is one more thing that I have realised over time: not all friends remain with you for life.
All of this decision-making and changing streams was tough because I was always curious about things, so I chose science. There is a bad side of choosing science: you need to score well in your Class 10 to manage to get into science. I managed to score an 8.6 CGPA, so I was eligible according to the score. Some of my friends were not, and from there a new journey started, and now I have to move to a different classroom, which was in the science department.
Most of my friends were going to commerce and some to arts. I don’t know why, in our country, arts is not treated as a proper subject. People consider it as an alternative option: when you are not getting science or commerce, then obviously you are going to opt for arts.
To be honest, I think I could have chosen arts because, as I see students from Arts and Commerce running the entire country, I feel like there are a lot of things we miss as a science student.
Most of the social things that are going to be applied in life, in the entire government sector, are all covered by Commerce and Arts, not by Science. You may think that Science is a good subject. In actuality, the misunderstanding that Science is a good subject has been planted in our heads over the years. We never think things through and just jump into Science if we have good scores and good grades.
Choosing Science as my stream, I have to lose some of the best people around me because they were not able to choose Science for various reasons. From here I realised one thing: that is, when taking every decision, you have to pay that price, and that price is not always in the form of money. There as well, I will be losing friends and bonds that we have built over the last 4 years of schooling.
Now that I am in science, we have new faces, and now we have to make new friends, new teachers, new subjects, a new bag- everything new, and it’s the beginning of a new era. Lol, it’s just the beginning of my Class 11 with science.

This was the first decision that I made in my life. Because of this decision, my route changed. I may say it was my decision, but to be brutally honest, I feel like I made that decision for many reasons:
- Pride, which was around the science stream.
- My attraction to research and curiosity about knowing things in detail.
- Peer pressure.
- Social stigma: people see science students differently than commerce and arts students.
But today I am 30 years of age. I see a country where every single person is trying to get a government job.
It’s a country that lacks everything. There is no innovation. Whether students opt for science or commerce is not a matter of concern at all because there are no jobs. There are hardly any people who support research and other work.
I feel like my decision to take science was not that good and was not a fully informed decision because I was not aware of the conditions of my country and the mentality of people around me.
During my 10th class, I was just a curious kid who thought being average was not an issue, and I would get a lot of support from people in my life, in school as well as in life. But I was not fully aware of the world and the things the world offers to us.
Today is 4 March 2026, and it has been 3 years since I started writing this book. Yet it has not even reached its second chapter, which is great for me because now I have more things to add to this book, and I have a more stable perspective. This will guide the reader into the light, and he will be able to read something that he will cherish in his heart if he understands the things behind the words. This book is not inspired by anyone. No one motivated me to write this. Even I am not aware whether this is going to be published or not because I don’t know what words are coming next in my life.
As I have mentioned earlier, my life is full of uncertain events. Things from here change because this book will be a journey, which I have lived for 30 years and learned a lot about the world and the hard truth about this nation where I live.
From where should I start? This is the question, and where does it end? It’s also a similar question. Let’s have this: destiny, fate, or God- however he wants this to end. Thanks.
This is Chapter 0, from where I am starting this, and today is 6 September 2026. The previous things were written in 2023, and some things were written in 2025. Now I am continuing this again, and let’s see how this goes from now on.
On Sunday, I will be adding one chapter of this book to my blog in my personal updates.
Let’s see how this is going to be, because I don’t know. I don’t have any experience writing anything that got published on any platform.
This is totally going to be a fluke, maybe, or I don’t know what to say right now. Let’s see how it is going to be.
