Recently, Apple’s September launch event took place, and Apple launched its new phones and the latest iPhone series. This is the 18th series of the iPhone, and they have launched the iPhone Duo as well.
The pricing of the new iPhones is magnificently higher than before. There are so many changes and upgrades that you can say Apple has really worked on the new models. But when it comes to the pricing, it’s just too high for an ordinary customer.
People have already started making memes about it, and I was one of them because, you know, most people in India buy iPhones on EMI. And this time, if the base model is costing around ₹3 lakh, that is totally insane. Not everyone in India can afford to spend ₹3 lakh on a phone.
Below, I have posted the link to the video I made about the new Apple iPhone. This is a sarcastic video I made about the pricing because, honestly, it is too high. Even though the iPhone is being assembled in India, the Indian pricing is still much higher compared to many other countries in the world.
So sometimes I genuinely wonder: what kind of benefit are Indians actually getting from assembling iPhones in India?
This is not just a question of concern; it is an economic question as well. If the phones are being assembled in India, shouldn’t that also help make the devices more affordable for Indian customers? But instead, the pricing is getting ridiculously high in India.
Because of this, people have started making memes and doing all kinds of crazy things that I probably can’t mention in this blog. You already know how people react when something goes beyond the bar — and Apple’s pricing has definitely crossed that bar this time.
I have also posted several videos regarding Apple’s new foldable phone launch. You can check them out as well. I have created another video about that, because the foldable phone is definitely something worth talking about.
At the same time, we also need to appreciate the healthy competition between Samsung, Apple, Google, and other companies. Competition between these companies pushes them to build better devices and develop new technologies. I’m not including Chinese companies here because I don’t know enough about their individual technologies and development processes, although we all know that a huge amount of smartphone manufacturing takes place in China.
But when it comes to the audience, people react to these companies very differently. Some are Samsung fans, some are Apple fans, and some are Google Pixel fans. Although, we mostly tend to ignore Google Pixel in these discussions.
Google has also launched a similar foldable phone, and honestly, it is pretty insane as well. They have clearly put a lot of effort into the device, and we cannot simply ignore the hard work they have done.
At the end of the day, healthy competition is good for everyone — especially for us as customers. The real question is whether all this competition and technological progress will eventually make these devices more affordable, or whether we will just keep paying more and more for them.
Apple Vs Samsung
The heading “Apple versus Samsung” is not because of the competition they have, but because of the market cap they capture. We all know that Apple has one of the largest market caps in the world, and Samsung is obviously chasing that.

But when it comes to making these devices, Samsung has done a tremendous amount of R&D in areas such as displays, flash memory, and other components. Some of these technologies and components are used in the new iPhone Duo as well. There are also some other parts that come from Samsung because, you know, Samsung is one of the largest producers of these components and has been doing this for years.
I mean, Samsung has been building foldable phones for around four years now.
So people are always interested in seeing what Apple and Samsung are doing. And these companies also use this competition in a very different way. They tease each other through internet memes, advertisements, and marketing campaigns.
That plays a vital role when it comes to marketing and capturing the audience’s attention. And honestly, that is a totally different game.
As for me, I don’t think I’m going to be able to afford any Apple device this year because almost every device is getting more expensive.
Yes, they have made technological advancements in their devices, but the price increases are becoming insane. For example, the Mac Mini used to cost around ₹60,000 in India, but now it costs around ₹1 lakh.
This kind of insane increase in prices raises so many questions, and we need to think about them as well. It is not always about technology and upgrades. Right now, people are losing jobs, people are struggling to pay their rent, and many are already dealing with financial pressure. At a time like this, when these devices are becoming even more expensive, there are obviously going to be concerns.
We need to look into these things as well.
But meanwhile, Instagram and YouTube are flooding with memes, and Twitter is no different. Because, you know, you simply can’t stop people from making memes!
And honestly, sometimes the memes explain the situation better than the marketing campaigns do.
Here are some of the Memes on the Internet:

The internet has even funnier memes than that. Just look at the boy with the sunglasses. He’s like, “Right now, the middle class will be thinking, ‘Tera ghar jayega iPhone Duo lene mai!’” And honestly, that’s kind of true.
The reason is that the middle class in India is currently facing a lot of financial pressure because of the lack of jobs and the way the current job market is functioning.
You know how the current job structure works in India, and most middle-class families depend heavily on their jobs and regular income.
So this year, it is becoming kind of difficult for an ordinary person to buy even one Apple device because almost every device is getting more expensive.
But if you’re still thinking about buying one, you can check out the affiliate links below. If you purchase through those links, it will help support me as well — and maybe, someday, help me get my own Apple device too.
Overall, let’s see how this thing rolls out because you can’t judge everything just from the launch event. We also need to see how these devices actually perform in real-world usage.
That might be a little difficult this time because fewer people may be able to afford them, so we might not see as many reviews as usual. But there will still be people who can afford these devices and share their honest experiences on the internet.
So, for now, let’s stick to those real-world reviews and see whether these new iPhones actually justify their prices.

But you know that most people are probably going to go for the previous models right now because they are going to be cheaper than the newly launched models. This has been the strategy of a lot of people for the past few years.
Even I am waiting for the new launch so I can get the previous model myself because sometimes, you know, you have to see whether the device is actually worth your money. It’s not always about getting the newest model possible.
For the rest, you can enjoy the memes on the internet because they are going to keep coming until the soup is hot. You never know what the next move of people on the internet is going to be!
There has been a lot going on right now because of this launch, especially because of the price increase by Apple.
We have to wait and see who is going to win the race. But we all know that these tech giants work together in many ways and help create new products and technologies. It’s not like they are actually fighting to win this race.
They are making more and more money from people by creating the impression that they are fighting each other behind the screen. But we all know that reality can be very different from what we see on the screen.
So maybe next year, in January or February, we’ll have to wait for Samsung’s launch event, where they might beat Apple in some areas. We’ll have to wait and see.
Until then, enjoy the memes, enjoy the hype around the Apple Duo, and help me bring more traffic to this blog as well! If you like my content, make sure to subscribe to the blog by email so you can get regular updates whenever I publish something new.
